Before a child can navigate the outside world, they must first understand their own inner world. That is why we established the “Me and My Inner World” Academy—focused on self-discovery for children ages 9–12.
Through a structured, game-based process based on the Jagadamba pedagogical model, participants explore their emotions and basic human feelings, work on self-esteem and self-confidence, learn mindfulness and inner balance techniques, and develop self-control skills.
The foundation is theoretical and evidence-based: emotional intelligence (Goleman), the theory of basic emotions (Ekman), self-efficacy (Bandura and Rogers), and mindfulness practices adapted for children (Thich Nhat Hanh).
After the academy, parents receive an individual mentoring session with feedback on their child’s emotional development, observations from the team during the six days of the academy, and specific recommendations for further work. Continuous observation of the child in a variety of situations and reactions provides an in-depth and accurate insight into their inner world.
The goal is not simply for the child to behave well, but for them to understand what they are feeling and why, and to know how to cope with it.
